I spent the whole night awake because the room was 29 degrees and the manager, who didn't speak English, persuaded me to stay in it. The aircon didn't work, the water pressure was very low, and people were puking in the lobby. I was there one night on a business visit and wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Getting a taxi out to eat was easy, thanks to the good location. The food could use work, though, since it didn't really capture the essence of Hunan cuisine. I've stayed at the Sheraton both times I've visited Changsha, and it made a deep impression on me. The facilities weren't new, but the atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable, more relaxing than cozy like home.
