The included buffet breakfast was outstanding, generous, and delicious. It wasn’t exactly Western, but even a picky Westerner could find something among all the choices. The hotel is convenient to Changsha South Train Station at Guangda, at the end of metro line 2. It has potential for Western tourists and business travelers, but needs better basics, like evening hours for a restaurant, bistro, or lounge. We arrived at 8:30 p.m. and everything at the hotel was shut for the night despite what the signs said. There was nothing in the surrounding area either, since it’s remote, so we had to ride back on the metro to find dinner. It could be a fine hotel, but needs more attention to detail and to the needs of international business guests coming for the exhibition center.

The hotel was nice and clean, with sufficient facilities and good breakfast. The rooms are small, just enough for two, and the prices are reasonable. It’s quite trendy, though a bit far from downtown. It’s opposite the Changsha international exhibition centre, a few minutes’ walk from a train station, and the ride to downtown takes about 15 minutes. There’s also a car park at the hotel. A recommended spot for a short stay in Changsha.

The room and hotel grounds feel new, clean, and well equipped. Breakfast was only average, though, and didn’t really suit international tastes.

I had a very enjoyable night here. The hotel is new, and it has that simple, clean, thoughtful IBIS feel, with a comfortable level of service and facilities. Getting to Changsha South High-Speed ​​Railway Station is easy, just one subway stop. The area around the International Exhibition Center is still being developed, so there are lots of construction sites and hardly any shops. No nearby restaurants or convenience stores either. You’ll need to eat downtown or settle for the hotel restaurant, where the food is pretty ordinary. It’s a minor inconvenience, but I’d pick up water and drinks in the city center before coming back.
