The breakfast experience was baffling. My wife went early wearing the hotel robe and got in without any issue. Since she said lots of people were dressed that way, I went later in a robe too, but the restaurant stopped me. I’ve never heard of a hotel banning robes. This place feels like a half-finished attempt at being a Shangri-La. I wouldn’t come back.

I paid RMB300 for two pots of tea and dessert at the Tea Lounge on the 93rd floor, and the service was really poor. The staff didn’t seem properly trained at all. I didn’t expect that from this hotel.

I felt well looked after from the airport pick-up through arrival and check-in. A colleague personally helped me through the process, keeping everything smooth and organized and making me feel valued. The hospitality and service were consistently attentive throughout my stay.
