The staff were really helpful. We had an early start for Panda Valley and couldn’t fit in breakfast, so they packed us some pastries with two takeaway coffee cups. Our room had two queen beds, which worked perfectly for our family of four, and the hotel is ideally located for exploring Chengdu.

The standout for me was the bathroom, it’s so high tech. We had a large room with two queen beds for our family of four, and the hotel was clean and quiet. The restaurant had a nice view, and breakfast was delicious. It’s also in a good location, and the staff were friendly. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in China by far.

The internet is painfully slow, capped at about 45 kbps, and they charge extra if you want an upgrade. Housekeeping also came very late. More than once we got back after 4 PM and the room still hadn’t been cleaned. The layout is awkward too: you go up to the lobby, then take another elevator down to your room. Just stay somewhere else, this place isn’t worth the money. Terrible, just terrible.

The service was incredibly good, and the hotel is very central, with everything close enough to walk to. But all five rooms we booked were hot and humid, which made sleeping really uncomfortable. We stayed four nights and couldn’t sleep well because of the heat. They brought us a fan, but it didn’t do much. Chengdu was only 20 degrees, so we didn’t need heating; they should have switched the system back to AC.

Some rooms have a beautiful view, and the rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. The staff were polite and quick to respond, and breakfast was decent. The hotel is in a good location. The reception being on the top floor is a drawback, and there are no bonuses for guests who stay multiple times.
