At check-in they even give you a complimentary panda, just because, and the coffee was good too. I was disappointed by how this stay compared with Mercure hotels I've visited in many countries. None of the staff could communicate in English, which made things very inconvenient for me as an international traveler. My room had a strong, unpleasant cigarette smell despite being a non-smoking room, and the Wi-Fi was very slow and unstable, barely useful for basic internet. I booked for two guests with breakfast included, but at arrival I was told it covered only one person. That was confusing and surprising. I've always understood breakfast included in a booking for two to mean both guests, but here I was told I needed to check whether it applied to everyone. That doesn't match standard hotel practice.

The location is superb, with everything within walking distance. This was the best Mercure I've stayed at in China: centrally placed, clean rooms, Japanese toilets, a great view and amazing breakfast. They even give you a complimentary panda at check-in, because why not? The coffee's good too.

The little complimentary snacks during my stay really lifted my day, especially the sweet potato. The hotel also has excellent facilities and a strategic location. The front office team was friendly and professional, and Yuki and YY took good care of me.

The room's bathroom was uncomfortably small, and when we raised an issue with the air conditioning, we were simply told to sleep with the window open. No alternative room was offered. Our check-in was also mishandled. The staff member dealing with it left work without passing the matter to anyone else, so we waited in the lobby for a few hours with no help. That was completely irresponsible. We’re very disappointed with the service and stay, and wouldn't recommend this hotel.
