There are plenty of good restaurants and bars close by in jing’an, and the common area has a lovely bar serving affordable beer and coffee that are still high quality. My room was newly built, fresh, and clean, and the sleeping pods were immaculate. The staff were super nice and spoke English. I can't recommend this place enough for a Shanghai visit.

This is my third stay at a Desti, and like the others, this one was comfortable, conveniently located, had nice shared spaces, and helpful staff. But cigarette butts were all over the bathrooms, even in the showers, and I felt like I was breathing secondhand smoke the whole time. Staff should be more proactive about dealing with the smoking to make the place comfortable for non-smoking guests.

The rooms were clean and came with free towels and a bottle of water each morning. Staff were very helpful and spoke good English, and laundry was cheap and available 24 hours. It's in a very central area. Highly recommend this place. Booking through trip.com was cheapest...

A great Chengdu stay for backpackers or a group of friends. The inn keeper is super friendly, like a golden retriever :p, and they also run a city walk tour on weekends.

This is my go-to hostel in Chengdu. I made lots of friends there, and the common room is amazing, with a billiard table, library, and small cinema. The staff are friendly too.
