Chengdu Taihe International Hotel

The hotel staff helped me hail a taxi for lunch, and they let me check in an hour early. The rooms are very nice for the price. My only suggestion is to improve the Wi-Fi, since the signal was weak. There are just two hotel networks and neither has a password, which made the connection slow. A separate network for each floor or room would be more usable. I had mobile data, but some guests may not have enough and need the Wi-Fi.

The buffet spread was excellent, and the bed, bathtub, and hotel amenities were all comfortable. I also appreciated finding different international plug types in the room, which I hadn’t seen in a hotel before. The hotel looks old at first, but it’s been well maintained. It’s about a five to ten minute walk from the MRT station.

A great place to stay in Chendu.

When we arrived from Lhasa, we found out the third party had refunded our payment for the two nights we booked, August 24th and 25th, after claiming we had canceled. Ms. Lisa Tan, the receptionist, calmly helped us through a pretty delicate situation. She suggested contacting the police and took the initiative to reach out herself. In the end, we got a refund from the manager. Her patience and sincerity really touched us. We hope management hears about Lisa's impeccable service. If we're back in Chengdu, we'll stay at the Taihe Hotel again because of Lisa Tan.
