For the price, this place is really good. The hostel has six-bed dorms without bathrooms, two courtyards, and a few different shared living rooms. It was clean, the staff were nice, and it's very close to Xinnanmen bus station in Chengdu. Great value.
It's a very cheap hotel, popular with people travelling around Chengdu, so you get what you pay for. The rooms could use a little TLC, but mine was clean and the staff were friendly. Bathrooms are shared by each floor; they were clean and never seemed too busy when I needed one, though I can't say how that works at peak times. The location is OK. There's a good connection with Mrs Pandas hostel just outside the entrance, where there's a bar and games room that's popular with foreign travellers. Usually someone is up for pool. Mrs pandas can also arrange day tours and sightseeing trips at the front desk.
Clean, easy on the budget, and close to both the metro and the city center. The staff were really friendly.
Handy for the subway 🚇 and the main bus 🚌 station.
The rooms I've stayed in on several visits were a bit dark, and the price is affordable. What makes the place work best is its location, near lots of places with metro and bus access. I'd have preferred a latte over the Chinese breakfast, and they were happy to make one for me.
