I was surprised this place has only a three-star rating: the lobby is spacious, the rooms are generous, and the bathrooms are large, with a separate bathtub that feels like a luxury for this category. The breakfast room is spacious too, with a wide selection for different tastes, though there were often queues for the coffee machines, which seemed too few or too slow for the morning rush. The room was otherwise comfortable, but the carpet color looked like a big dark stain, almost like a horror movie crime scene. Probably not intentional, but unpleasant to look at. Worse, the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I asked to move, but was told there were no alternatives, so I had to put up with it for all four nights. It was disappointing, and the front desk's lack of empathy left a bad impression. The hotel has plenty of features above typical three-star expectations, but guest comfort and responsiveness need attention.

A grand hotel with a clean, spacious room. I especially liked the fried rice at the Chinese restaurant. It was some of the best egg fried rice I've ever tried.

The breakfast had a decent range, though nothing really stood out, and the roomy seating made it comfortable and much less noisy than places with tables packed close together. The lobby feels grand and the rooms are generous in size. I particularly liked the bathroom: the large tub was a plus, and the shower has three modes controlled by clear, convenient buttons. You can run all three at once, and they clean you well.
