Grand Hyatt Chengdu

I upgraded to Club Access during my stay, and it was well worth the cost. The lounge was lovely, with afternoon tea and coffee, then impressive cocktails and dinner from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The food exceeded what we expected, and there was a good choice of wines, spirits, and mixers. Breakfast was included too, with a huge range of local and international dishes to try. My room was excellent, with a beautiful bathroom, an exceptionally comfortable bed, and a stunning view over Chengdu. The welcome at reception was warm, and the lobby and lounge staff were delightful, always smiling and ready to help. I chose the Grand Hyatt while exploring Chengdu, and it turned out to be one of the best hotels I visited in China. Its spot on Chunxi Road is ideal for getting around, close to the main attractions and only a two-minute walk from the metro. Everything from the location and rooms to the service was just what I’d hoped for. I’d highly recommend the Grand Hyatt for a luxury stay in Chengdu.

My wife and I got upgraded to a beautiful suite, with great recognition as Globalists. It’s an impressive, well-maintained property, with clean rooms and a huge breakfast spread. We had trouble with the air conditioning settings on the first night, but the staff fixed it quickly the next morning for the rest of our stay.

The staff were kind and helpful, and breakfast had a great mix of Chinese and Western food. The hotel is right in central Chengdu, with shops, transport, and lots of places to eat just a short walk away. The rooms feel a little dated, and traffic made getting around by taxi difficult. I enjoyed my three-night stay :)

The noodle station at breakfast was a highlight, though the buffet felt fairly standard for a luxury hotel and wasn't served in the Club Lounge. We loved how fresh and smoke-free our room smelled, and it was modern, spacious, and had lovely city views. Everyone we encountered was kind and keen to help. Grand Hyatt Chengdu is right on Chunxi Road, with plenty of food and things to explore nearby. A comfortable, convenient place to stay in Chengdu.
