Grand ParcVue Hotel Residence Chengdu

The team at Grand Parcvue Hotel and Residences made our first Chengdu visit memorable, with thoughtful help from before arrival through our departure. We were thrilled when our request made weeks before the trip led to a free upgrade from a King room to a one-bedroom suite. On arrival day, Jason, the General Manager, Mr. Jason Low, was already there early and kindly let us check in seven hours ahead at no charge. Both units we stayed in had fully equipped kitchens and washer-dryers. The hotel combines warm Chinese hospitality with Singaporean efficiency and professionalism. It's centrally located, a short walk from Jinjiang metro station on Line 1, and all the staff, including the General Manager, Mr. Jason Low, were friendly and helpful. We'd happily stay here again on another Chengdu visit and recommend it to friends and family.

Breakfast wasn't a huge spread, but the food was good, and staff kept the restaurant clean and replenished. I slept well in the quiet room, which was clean and well equipped. The kitchenette was in good shape, and the washer-dryer came with detergent, a big help on my 10-day trip. Tina Zhang and Queena Li at the front desk were friendly and helped with online deliveries and suggestions for places to visit and eat. The other staff I met were efficient and welcoming too. One note: Google Maps shows the hotel in the wrong place, so use its address or a China mapping service to find it. I'd stay here again.

The Southeast Asian dinner restaurant wasn't very flavorful, and I thought it was overpriced for what it offered. Breakfast was decent. My apartment-style room was spacious, with a kitchenette, washer, walk-in closet area, and a bathroom with both a shower and bathtub. The hotel is a little older but kept in good condition. It's in a great, walkable location right across from the Sichuan opera. I stayed six nights and found it comfortable and good value for a longer trip.

The pool was nice, though some Russians wouldn't follow the rules. The fitness center was decent and open around the clock. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially at breakfast, which had lots of choice and was one of the best we've had in China. I actually liked the Chinese options most. I picked this hotel for its spot in central Chengdu, close to lots of food and about a five-minute walk from Tianfu Square metro station. The map location is a bit off, so check directions before you arrive.
