That little nightly surprise was new to me: around 8pm, a lovely woman knocked and brought two tasty biscuits. I also got a free panda soft toy on arrival, and the minibar drinks were complimentary. The beds were comfortable, the room was nicely done, and the bathroom had a lovely, huge shower with strong water pressure. Breakfast had plenty to choose from. A good base for getting out to Chengdu and around Sichuan.

The staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful we met on our trip around China. It was easy to get a cab to anywhere in Chengdu from here. Our room was clean and had a good amount of space, though the view was of a busy intersection. I'd stay here again.

The bathroom was pretty dirty, and the room clearly smelled like it was for smokers. When we arrived, the refrigerator, air conditioning, and router were all broken. A maintenance worker explained that the hotel controls the temperature and the room's A/C units don't actually work, they're just for show.

The breakfast buffet was revolting, and nobody spoke English. We booked after seeing the hotel recommended on Expedia, but when we arrived there were only two single beds for the three of us. The air conditioning was much too hot and couldn't be adjusted.

It's a bit of an older hotel. The room wasn't too bad, it was okay for me.
