WEZO made for a comfortable stay, and I liked coming back to its quiet, peaceful atmosphere after a long day out. I was there for nine nights on my own. It’s in a calm spot but still close to most popular places, around 10 minutes away by Didi. The hotel looks great from outside, through the lobby and into the rooms. The rooms seem designed more for looks than practicality, though, with just one drawer in the whole room. The toiletries were good quality, the hairdryer worked well, the slippers were comfortable, and staff responded quickly on WeChat. I also got a daily coffee and cocktail coupon for Tableround, the affiliated cafe. The central AC seemed to leave my room a bit warm. Since I was on the third floor in winter, I had to open the windows, which let in some noise. One extra perk, WEZO is right next to a Michelin noodle place that’s cheap and excellent.

I found WEZO Hotel by chance on Trip.com and booked because the price was reasonable. It’s quite nice and relatively quiet, with Kuanzhai Alley about a 10-15 minute walk away. Walking out from the scenic area isn’t the most convenient, but there are plenty of self-service bikes outside, and Kuixinglou Street and Kuanzhai Alley are close by. The cafe next door gives each guest a free coffee or alcoholic drink every day! 👍🏻👍🏻
