Echeng Hotel is right in central Chengdu, with IFS and Taikoo Li close enough to reach on foot for shopping or sightseeing. The price seemed reasonable for the quality and services, and I had an enjoyable, hassle-free stay. The rooms were spacious, with the toilet and bath in separate areas for more privacy. Breakfast was included, with a satisfying range of choices. I also appreciated the well-kept self-service laundry, and the hotel can receive online packages. They held luggage for several days too, which is handy if you're heading to Jiuzhaigou. We could cancel a few days ahead of our stay as well. There was a slight smell in the room when we arrived, a bit like a smoking room. That was the only small issue, and I'd recommend Echeng Hotel for a comfortable, convenient stay in central Chengdu.

The staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful, and I really liked having free laundry facilities. Shops, restaurants, and attractions were all walkable from the Echeng Hotel in Chengdu Chunxi Road, which made the location fantastic. It took me a little while to find the place, and the room layout initially felt maze-like. Once I got my bearings with the fire escape map, getting around was easy. I had a really enjoyable stay and would come back.

The big problem was the room temperature. There was no air conditioning, staff said, and sleeping in August with the room around 26°C was difficult. The hotel does have a lot going for it, though: it's brand-new, stylishly finished, and the spacious rooms are comfortable. Breakfast had a wide selection, and the self-service washer and dryer were handy. We didn't try dinner, but the menu looked appealing. It seems like a hotel with potential.

There are free self-service washers and dryers, plus welcome drinks and snacks. The bedrooms are spacious, with separate shower and toilet areas, and the hair dryers are quite sophisticated. It's on a main road near shopping centers.

I had a really good stay. The room was clean and spacious, and there was a variety of tea for guests at reception. A special thanks to Liu Fang for the excellent service. There wasn't a refrigerator, though, which was a problem for me because my eye drops need to be kept cold.
