We changed plans after realizing our original hotel didn't have everything we wanted, and booking the Shangri-La in Chengdu turned out to be a great choice. From arrival, we were impressed by the warm welcome and outstanding service. The staff made us feel at home. Breakfast was excellent, prices were very reasonable, and the stay went smoothly. We'd highly recommend it.

The city views were amazing, and it was great value. They dealt with any problems quickly, and the breakfast buffet is worth a look. Tyler Wang at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful, suggesting places and restaurants and helping us find a tour guide. The hotel lives up to its name.

I had a great two-night stay here for our anniversary. The room views were incredible, and Shangri-La has the best gym, with top-notch equipment. Strongly recommend!

There are good nightlife options nearby, but finding your way in is confusing and the rooms are quite old. Our first room smelled of cigarettes despite supposedly being on a non-smoking floor. When we asked, they moved us to another room with a river view, which was on a much better side. The carpets look pretty dirty and the furniture is relatively old. For the price per night, I wouldn't pick this hotel again.

This was the worst service I've ever had! After weeks of messages through Expedia and Shangri-la emails, plus phone calls, I still got no answers to simple questions. Even Manager Tiffany didn't listen and kept repeating nonsense about deliveries and payment that had nothing to do with me. I just needed help with restaurant suggestions and a couple of other things. Really disappointed. Three-star service!
