I liked the breakfast, and the place was clean. Bookworm café is right next to the hotel and a good spot to meet people. Reception staff spoke very little English. They didn't even know what a taxi was! The room phone rang when I got in, offering a massage. The masseur showed up, but things went wild in another way, with a price of 1000 RMB. That's five times what the same service costs at some street parlours. Sometimes the neighboring room got noisy when people were having massage service. Funny, but still noisy.

Cigarette smell was everywhere, including in the rooms. The bathroom was dirty and moldy.

I stayed at Sunjoy in June 2006, and it was a great experience.
