The park is a lovely surprise for this part of town. Jiaozi Park Jiaozi Park follows the Jinjiang River through the Financial City for nearly two kilometres, with around 830,000 square metres in total, including a 38,000 sqm ecological lake and about 47 hectares of landscaped green space. It feels peaceful for a CBD park and is perfect for a slow morning walk. From the upper floors, you can also see the Tianfu Twin Towers, both 58 stories high, lit up with LED panels after dark, and the New Century Global Center. A Didi driver told me it’s the world’s largest single building by floor area. Seeing both from one window feels surreal. The hotel connects straight to in99, a 190,000 sqm luxury mall co-designed by six leading design firms. It brings together art, culture, shops, flagship boutiques, dining, and a beautiful bookstore. The views from the pool, gym, and restaurants are just as striking, with floor-to-ceiling glass facing the Financial City skyline. The pool is on the 48th floor, about half an Olympic pool in length and temperature controlled, with a warm soaking pool beside it. There are also ice, salt, steam, and sauna rooms, making for a full thermal circuit. I spent an afternoon there and it felt like a ritual. For food, Infinite Luck is the standout. The signature Chinese restaurant is Michelin-selected in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide Chengdu, and its chef has more than 40 years of Sichuan cooking experience. The food was bold, precise, and rooted in the region. Best meal of the trip, easily. The Grill (Limited Edition) is a confident choice for Western dining, too. Trip.com's 2025 Global 100 listed the hotel among the world's top Gourmet Hotels, which made sense after eating here. The Royal Suite has also won Sichuan's Leading Hotel Suite at the World Travel Awards multiple times. We stayed three nights, and from before arrival to checkout, the team made the occasion feel personal without making a show of it. That’s True Waldorf Service. One small quirk: guest floors and the ground-floor lobby have separate elevators, likely because of the building’s height. It gives some privacy, though it adds a step when heading out. For a Chengdu trip, this is an easy base to recommend.
