Getting around and shopping are easy from this very convenient location, and the staff are friendly. They don't speak English, but we could communicate using translation. I took off a point for the room: even though I asked for a non-smoking one, I could still smell smoke from other rooms.

The room was clean and the price reasonable. The location is a real plus, with the subway station right across from the hotel and Jiefangbei Pedestrian street just a few steps away.

Everything else was good, and the location is superb. The washroom could use somewhere to hang clothes.

Getting in and out of the hotel by lift is a nightmare at busy times. There are so many rooms, yet only one washing machine, and you can only use it until 11pm. Who's on holiday just staying in the hotel from 8am to 11pm? They should add at least three machines, or close off a guest room near the laundry if they're worried about disturbing people trying to sleep.

Update, Aug 28 2024: noisy AC and slow wifi. The room didn't live up to what I expected from the hotel's high Expedia rating. The damaged flooring and poor upkeep made it feel worn and neglected, far from the premium stay I had in mind. The Expedia photo was misleading too. It showed what looked like a small balcony with decoration, but it was just for show and couldn't be accessed, so the actual room felt much smaller. At this price I wasn't expecting top-tier quality, but I was still disappointed.
