Chongqing Miss Xie'S House With Riverview(Near Jiefangbei and Hongyadong)

We stayed at somerset recently as a family of 10, and the Studio Premier had plenty of space. Staff were very friendly and helped us receive and manage our taobaos. Deliveries that ended up at the back can be kept in lockers by the control room, though there's a charge for collecting them later. I used one after three or four days and paid 6rmb, if I remember right, using alipay or similar. The rooms seem to include washers and dryers, and there's a robot that brings meituans to your room. Cleanliness was okay, though some stubborn stains were visible. Toiletries included hair conditioner. It's near eateries and about a 30-minute walk to chaotianmen/ raffles city if you want to catch the drone show. Jiefangbei and Bayi Snack Street are walkable in under 30 minutes, but you'll need to work out which stairs or paid public escalator to use. The escalator was about 1cny per person by e-payment. I had a 4am checkout, and staff packed breakfast for us at my guide's request. I'm not sure how close the light rail is, but overall I'd recommend somerset for a Chongqing trip.

The only good parts were the washing machine in the room and the nice view. The attitude toward guests was terrible, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Even though we'd paid for the rooms in advance, they asked us for a deposit on arrival. The rooms were shabby and not very clean. When we checked out, they made us wait 15 minutes while they inspected the rooms before returning the deposit, and we were late getting to the train station. Outrageous.

We chose this place for a family of four because it has two bedrooms, a kitchen and washing machines, which worked well for us. The hotel looks old and a little worn, but it was clean and still acceptable. The cleaning lady was friendly. They don't provide toothbrushes or toothpaste, and breakfast was okay. The location was fine for us since we usually use Didi cars in China, and it's close to the scenic area and some tourist attractions.

Having a washing machine was a plus, and the room was spacious. Breakfast was basic and nothing special. The coffee machine was so slow that the queue took around 15 minutes. Management should add another machine to cut the wait in half.
