Days Inn by Wyndham Chongqing Jiulongpo

The place is about 40 minutes by car from Hongya Cave, so it’s outside the downtown tourist area, though local transport makes the distance manageable. Access could be better for guests with disabilities: there’s no ramp, and the main areas are reached by taking the elevator to the lobby on the 3rd floor. The room was roomy, clean, and comfortable. Fresh bedding, soft pillows, and a soft duvet made for a restful stay. There was a water heater, hair dryer, towels, slippers, toiletries, a mini fridge, and complimentary bottled water. The bathroom was large and spotless, and the curtains worked automatically. The lobby, reception, and breakfast area are together in a minimalist, open space on the 3rd floor. Elevators make the lobby easy to reach, and staff were friendly and accommodating. There was even a welcoming robot. Breakfast came buffet-style with a decent range of food and a noodle station. There wasn’t a separate egg station, but fried and boiled eggs were available. I also appreciated the good coffee from the quality coffee machine. Overall, I had a great stay, with clean, cozy rooms, a friendly atmosphere, and good value.
