The rooms are fairly clean and nicely furnished. It’s a decent three star hotel in Chongqing’s tourist district, with many well known sights within walking distance.

Getting to the hotel was a little confusing. It’s in a commercial building with two other hotels, and I first took the wrong lift before being sent to a different lobby. I only noticed in the elevator that there was a third hotel on Level 29, while mine was on Level 7. I arrived two hours before check in, but the receptionist kindly upgraded me to a twin room so I could get in right away. The room was spacious, with a small shower and toilet area. The basin sits just past the main door, and I liked the open wardrobe since it let my clothes air out. Basic items were provided, including a disposable toothbrush, shaving kit, and shower gels. There’s a free self service laundry on Level 7 with a washer and dryer, though the dryer was poor. Some clothes still weren’t dry after three hours. The location was okay, around a 10 minute walk to Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street. The slopes and pebble stone sections made that feel like quite a hike if you’re not fit. They gave me a packet of local specialties, local snacks, at checkout, which was a cute touch. Service was excellent throughout, and I liked being able to message the butler on Wechat with questions or requests instead of calling.
