We had a comfortable couple of nights at Hyatt Regency Chongqing. The room was spacious and clean, with full bathroom amenities, slippers, a very comfortable bed, and a shower with excellent water pressure. Double-glazed windows kept outside noise from bothering us. We also used the laundry service, which was quick and efficient. Its central spot is handy for the Independence monument, the main eating street, and shopping malls. Hongye Cave, Liziba Station (Train that goes through the apartment building), various Old Towns, and other tourist sites were a relatively short taxi or Didi ride away. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, though their English wasn’t very fluent. My wife speaks Mandarin, so we managed; travelers without a Mandarin speaker may need translation apps. We’d happily stay again. It’s clean, VERY reasonable, and in a fantastic location.

Friendly, helpful staff and clean, well-maintained rooms with great city views. The hotel is right in the middle of town, with plenty of bars, restaurants, and street food nearby, which made it a perfect base for exploring Chongqing.

The room was super clean, and the A/C actually gets cold, unlike at some other places. We had a small customer service issue at first, but on the second night someone called to ask how our stay was. I mentioned it, and they were really understanding and gave us a free cake. Everyone was friendly.

You can walk to the main attractions and plenty of food from here. The hotel isn’t brand new, but the service was very helpful and the room was really big. We could hear a bit of traffic at night, though it wasn’t enough to bother us much.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the pool area was lovely. It has a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, steam rooms, saunas, showers, and lockers, though you need a swimming cap. There was a little city noise. The hotel is now called Hyatt Regency Metropolitan Chongqing, in a great spot next to the Liberation Square, with friendly and helpful staff.
