Meng Zhi Fan International Hostel

I was there for two nights and, according to the staff, was the only foreigner staying there and likely the first person from my country. The staff are averagely helpful, mostly because English communication isn’t smooth, but even limited help is okay if you have a translator. There’s plenty of room to walk around in the rooms, and the hostel has a lot of amenities. I was surprised to find a billiards table, of all places in central China, though the city itself is an international hub. The lavatory could be adapted to a Western style for certain 'picky' customers. There’s a nearby marketplace with lots of food spots, and getting to the airport takes about 10 minutes by cab. The 🚆 line is just seconds away, across from the hostel. I’d certainly recommend this hostel.
