Moxy Chongqing

It’s right on the famous food street, with lots of attractions an easy walk away. The hotel is easy to find, and the subway is close; getting a DiDi is easy and cheap too. The room was very clean, breakfast was decent, and the service was fantastic. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and spoke good English.

The map pin on Google Maps is a little off. The hotel is actually at the other end of the same walking street, which is a convenient spot for shopping and food. The staff were very friendly.

The big laundry room was a useful facility, though some guests ran the two-hour wash on three machines at once without considering anyone else. The staff were all friendly and helpful, but not all of them spoke English. I stayed three nights and was satisfied overall. The metro is around the corner, and many tourist spots are an easy walk away. My room was clean, and the bed and pillows were comfortable, though the design could be better: there’s no wardrobe and hardly anywhere to put a suitcase. A room facing the food street can get noisy late at night. There’s also a constant smell of fried food in the lobby and lifts, which I didn’t find pleasant.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the location was excellent. I’d recommend it without hesitation. The dryers in the laundry barely worked, though. We got our laundry done early, because by midnight people were queuing to dry clothes that had been taking hours.
