The view from my room wasn't much, but it was spacious, and I was impressed with that on my first trip to China. I stayed here June 1-2, 2017, near the museum. Cabs were quite cheap for getting around, and the bus could be fun if you felt adventurous. The staff were friendly, though a little shy. Only one woman spoke English, but she was a real help: when I got sick one night after eating a very spicy Szechuan pepper dish, she went to a pharmacy and got me a Chinese remedy. I'll always remember that kindness and Chinese hospitality. Tip: have the Google Translate app installed.
