Regent Chongqing

The room was huge, very clean and well maintained. Housekeeping did a fantastic job during the day and at evening turndown. They folded the clothes I'd left around, neatly tied up a loose cable, and kept everything in top condition. Each person got three free laundry pieces per day, delivered before noon, and the room haven menu had personalized options like monoculars for star gazing, which I haven't seen at other top-notch hotels. The minibar was free and refilled daily, including alcoholic drinks. Service from all the hotel staff was professional and attentive, at a six-star standard. Someone was always there to hold the car door in the main lobby, and staff greeted us as we headed back to our room. Breakfast was delicious too. The staff kept our coffee topped up, cleared used plates, recommended dishes and helped whenever they could.

My favorite part was spending time at the rooftop bar, with live music, tasty cocktails and an amazing view of the Yangtze River. I stayed in a modern, luxurious and spacious corner room with a partial river view. Breakfast had plenty of options, and the lounge had friendly, attentive service. I stayed at the Regent Hotel in Chongqing, China, last month and had a great time. I'd definitely stay there again if I visit Chongqing.

The Christmas decorations were so perfect that I hadn't seen anything like them, even back in Canada. After traveling a lot, I'd put this among the top three hotels I've stayed at, maybe even number one for its price. Everything was clean and felt perfect from the moment I walked in. There were more amenities than I could reasonably use, and the staff never made anything feel like too much trouble. For example, they gave me nine pre-cut roses to use in a bath at no extra charge. I was floored.

The river terrace was immaculate, a lovely place to relax and take in the scenery. My room was spacious, spotless and elegantly designed, with a breathtaking view over the city and river. The spa was serene, the pool relaxing, and the common areas beautifully maintained. Service stood out throughout my stay at the Regent Hotel in Chongqing. The doormen were always smiling and helpful, making arrivals and departures easy. Breakfast staff were attentive without hovering, remembered preferences and made each morning pleasant. My personal experience executive also went above and beyond. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail made me feel like a valued friend. The food was another highlight. Breakfast had a huge choice of local specialties and international favorites, all prepared very well, and later meals were just as impressive for quality and flavor. For the level of service, comfort and overall experience, the hotel offered remarkable value. This was one of my best hotel stays, and I can't recommend it highly enough. I'll absolutely return next time I'm in Chongqing.
