The peanut Mochi from an old man at the food street was easily my favorite snack, 5 out of 5. Vendors there also sold grilled corn, scallion pancakes, and grilled sausages, and you pass the street after getting off the local train. We visited fairy mountain in March, but the weather was miserable, with mist, fog, and a steady drizzle. We could see only about 5 m or less. We took the local train around the roughly 10 km route. Fairy mountain is supposed to be the Switzerland of Chong Qing, but the visit was a washout in that weather. There were horses and cows on the misty grassland. Maybe the weather was the problem, but I still couldn't quite understand the concept. It didn't all come together for me.
