We’re adult tourists, experienced travelers, and this was our third trip to China. The location was mixed: it’s right across from Raffles City, Didi pick-up and drop-off are convenient, and the main city center is a 10-15 minute walk away. But the building sits at the end of the peninsula, so traffic is heavy whenever you go in or out. The apartment was in very poor condition, even though we were told we’d been “upgraded.” There was a strong bathroom smell, the shower was poorly installed and seemed to float, there were no plates or cutlery, and the walls and stairs were badly damaged, almost looking demolished. You can hear every elevator movement and rolling suitcase in the corridor. On the plus side, towels and bed sheets were changed daily, there were two smart toilets, and the view faced Raffles City. The building houses several businesses, including hotels, apartments, spas and offices, and the setup felt chaotic. Only one elevator serves floors 24-25, so it was always full and the waits were extremely long. Every evening, the area outside was full of drunk people vomiting. The surroundings were very dirty, although workers cleaned them daily. For the price, the condition of the building, elevators and apartment didn’t feel worth it. The reception looked like an old storage room, and there was no staff on site 24/7. Communication was only through WeChat; they did reply and provide information, but it didn’t feel like hotel-style service. Expect long elevator waits, corridor noise and WeChat-only communication. The overall condition and organization were far below expectations, so I wouldn’t recommend it.
