What really stood out was how far the staff went to help me. A tiny piece of jewellery had slipped down beside the armchair in my room, and when the first attempts to retrieve it failed, they removed the chair and took it apart. They found it! I’m so grateful. The hotel itself has the expected comforts, including nice rooms, a decent gym and a tasty buffet, and it’s very handy for the convention centre.

After a busy day, a walk along the riverbank is a lovely way to find some quiet. The hotel is right by the main convention centre hub, and in the morning you can watch the fog slowly lift over the Jialing River, revealing a wide view. It’s a good fit for tourists who want a peaceful stay away from the bustle.

The hotel is a little outside the city center, but the breakfast spread is fantastic and there are good options for vegetarians. The exhibition center inside is superb, and the view from the higher floors is breathtaking. I think Wyndham Yuelai is worth a stay.

My room was clean and tidy, and everything in the shower worked fine. I stayed from October 15 to October 19. Room service was a bit slow for a hotel at this level, and the front desk was too. I waited about 30 minutes to check in two rooms, even though nobody else was in line. Apart from that, everything was great.

Being connected to the convention venues is convenient, but there’s almost nothing around the hotel. Getting downtown takes about 40-90 minutes, and traffic is especially bad during rush hour.
