The staff and manager made this stay special. Everyone was warm, thoughtful, quick to help, and always smiling. When housekeeping saw our laundry drying by the bathtub, they brought a rack and hung everything in the courtyard to dry better. They also brought our many food deliveries to the room, and the manager regularly checked in and offered useful tips. Six-star service! The grounds are beautifully landscaped, full of greenery, and have outdoor seating where you can relax and listen to birds. It’s a lovely boutique hotel on the edge of Dali ancient city, within walking distance of the 3 Pagodas, with Cangshan mountain in the background. Our room was clean and well maintained, and snacks, drinks, and fruit were replenished each day. The only real drawback was the extra bed for our child. Its mattress was very hard, and the frame squeaked and groaned whenever someone moved. They should upgrade it. The restaurant was good. Breakfast had a limited selection but was good quality and enough, and dinner was okay, with local cuisine. Highly recommended.
