Dali Yunshangju Inn

The room itself was okay, and it's a nice hotel, but the service was appalling. We tried to have dinner in the restaurant last night and were told the kitchen was too busy with a group of 24. We said we'd wait until they were done, but asked if we could have a beer while waiting. They said the kitchen was too busy even to get us a beer, and we were told we couldn't have dinner or a drink because they were occupied with the 'large' group of 25. Later, we put the DND light on so we could sleep, but staff still banged on our door and woke us. Someone said something in Chinese and left. At breakfast, some tables were reserved for Chinese guests, leaving just one where we Westerners were allowed to sit. There was no Western food in the buffet, and we couldn't get tea or coffee because nobody spoke English. We were checked out on 5/20/19. My recommendation is to find somewhere more welcoming to Western travelers if you want to eat or have a beer, or if you don't want to be woken up despite putting the DND light on.
