The lake view is amazing when the weather cooperates, and the rooms and service are pretty great. It feels like it meets all the expectations of a five-star hotel. The area isn't developed much, so restaurants are a bit far away, but the view makes up for that. Google Maps appears to put the hotel in the wrong place, according to other reviews, so don't rely on it. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a hotel in Dali.

A nice, practical hotel, well placed for visiting attractions on the east side or around ErHai lake. The surrounding area is still being developed, but in 1-2 years it could be a convenient, comfortable place to stay. GOOGLE MAPs puts it in the wrong area !!!

Google Maps has the hotel in the wrong spot, so I'm uploading a picture showing its location. It's a much better place than the map suggests, with nice lake views. The hotel is nice, though not luxurious, and as far as I can tell it's the best in the area.

I picked this because it costs half as much as Pullman, and the tier benefits are good. The location isn't great, though, and the Google listing is completely different. You shouldn't trust Google Maps in China. Please upgrade my room.
