The comfortable room had strong water pressure and even a bidet. Breakfast was better than I expected, with spots where you can cook things yourself, and the staff were nice. Zhongshan Square and its lovely historic buildings are just a 3-5 minute walk away. The lobby is on the sixth floor, with the rooms upstairs.

The little fridge is stocked with free drinks, beer included! I came away impressed by Aloft Dalian, which turned out far better than I expected. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and eager to help. Dalian is my hometown, so I may be a bit biased, but I could see the management trying hard to make guests feel at home despite cultural differences, especially in a small northern Chinese city. That kind of care matters.

The sheets smelled of smoke, which was unpleasant, though the room itself was clean and quiet. The location is good, with a few restaurants nearby, and the front desk staff speak English well.

The rooms were clean, the location convenient, and the staff very friendly and helpful. It has the usual Aloft feel. The hotel restaurant doesn't serve Western food, but there are several places to eat nearby. Dalian airport is about 25 minutes away, and a taxi costs around 40 RMB each way.
