Somerset Grand Central Dalian

The staff are outstandingly friendly, and this works well as a long-term stay. Still, two things are missing for a high-end hotel in Dalian new dev. Zone. First, the Wi-Fi is really poor. The connection in the room is unstable, and in the Gym it’s unusable, even with GCF in place. Please bring it up to current standards. Breakfast is also too basic, with too few healthy choices. Apart from the same fruits coming around again, there’s little that’s healthy. All Bran, fiber, Muesli, Salmon, or tender cold chicken would be welcome additions.

The staff are excellent, and the apartment is great. Breakfast is decent enough, though the variety and quantity are limited compared with the InFine. The Wi-Fi at Somerset is much better than at InFine, and it connects through a Hong Kong VPN, so things like Google work very well.

The rooms are very nice, and the staff are friendly. There’s a nice pool, Sauna, and Fitness area. The Internet can be a bit slow, and if you’re staying long term, breakfast could use more variety.

I was here for seven months, and it’s one of the better places near Kaifaqu area, away from Downtown. The location is handy for several amenities, and banks and a train station are nearby.
