If you expect a three-star hotel, this is a comfortable one and should meet those expectations.

The restaurant is excellent, and the breakfast buffet has plenty of choice for Western visitors. At the centrally located hotel, you can also use the swimming pool in the Grand Hotel behind the building, though you need a swim cap. The hotel itself is dated, and the rooms are grimy, with smells of smoke or alcohol. I noticed this again on my May 2026 visit, after first staying in October 2025. The rooms smelled of smoke then too.

The beds are comfortable, but the rooms are tiny and outdated, and the carpet is incredibly dirty. There’s mold in the small bathroom, and the whole place smells of smoke. The view from the room is bleak. You have to walk to the hotel next door for breakfast, since there’s no breakfast room here. Staff barely speak English, even at reception. I wouldn’t recommend staying more than a few nights. From outside, it looks like a fine hotel, but inside there’s a lot wrong.

The hotel is far from the city center. The rooms are outdated and need updating, and the staff were rude at check-in and when I had other questions.
