The room was huge and clean, and the breakfast spread was really good. Staff were attentive, and the hotel provides free washing and drying machines. It’s just outside town, about five minutes from the center. This is a new hotel in Datong, and it had only been operating for 2.5 months.

Our room hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived. We were moved to another one, but it seems this has happened at the hotel more than once. In the uncleaned room, the trash can was empty, there was a used toilet seat cover, the bed looked unused, slippers were scattered on the floor, and there was what appeared to be used blotting paper on the table.

The room had an ashtray and smelled strongly of air freshener, which was the worst part. The windows in the view room were dirty too. Breakfast bread was far below the Four Points by Point’s global average. Please keep up the good work, thank you 🙏
