My mom and I booked this at the last minute on a whim, and what a surprise. The rooms were super spacious and clean, with big windows looking out over the city. There was a faint lavender scent in the air, and even the air freshener was great. They really paid attention to the little details. You absolutely have to try breakfast. I’ve eaten at Michelin restaurants around the world, and this was hands down the best breakfast I’ve ever had. I’m serious. I didn’t expect much when I arrived. It looked like an ordinary spread, nothing fancy, but everything was made just right. The yogurt had a perfect balance of creaminess, sweetness, and tanginess, and somehow tasted better than store-bought ones. I had it with candied pecans, which was amazing. Even the pre-baked dessert squares, which I wasn’t expecting much from, were a chef’s kiss. Who knew a random hotel in a small prefecture city in China could make Michelin-quality sponge cake from scratch?
