The breakfast dim sum served outside the hotel was very good. The hotel is close to train stations and has two sections: A is the original wing, while B is newer and has a spa on the fourth floor. Rooms are clean and decent for the price. I’d have given it five stars if it had been kept the way it was when it first opened.

There’s a park nearby for a walk or some exercise, and the location is decent. The hotel itself feels a bit dated, and the small pool’s water wasn’t very clean. Still, it’s good value for the money.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to Americans who want English or a Western-style experience. The staff, including the front desk manager, were no help. I arrived around midnight and spent an hour speaking with four employees before I could get the hotel Wi-Fi and password. The free breakfast was hard to find too. No one told me it was at a separate restaurant reached through the side entrance, about a quarter of the way along. It took two days to get a coat and directions to the restroom. After ten years of business trips to China, this was easily my worst experience.

The facilities are complete, the room rates are reasonable, and there’s Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Service is good, and the best part is that they have Hong Kong Cable TV.
