The food options were a nice surprise, with room service and the bar menu both good and reasonably priced. My room was large, bright, and so quiet I slept without any disturbance. The hotel is also very close to ezhou airport. Really appreciated the excellent service, especially the check-in lady and the woman cooking at breakfast, who helped me despite the language barrier. Please keep it up.

The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. The downsides were weak air conditioning and needing a VPN to get online.

The pool itself was nice, though they started clearing people out at 10:30 pm even though it was meant to stay open until 11. The hotel is new, but the room was fixed at 24°C with no air conditioning. Construction nearby made things really noisy. It's supposed to be non-smoking, yet there was cigarette smell on every floor, plus a butt and an ashtray by the elevator.

As a Platinum member of InterContinental for 10 years, I was really disappointed by this first visit to Ezhou. There were rooms available, but getting the membership sorted took several twists and turns, and despite that availability I ran into one obstacle after another. The front desk staff came across as inexperienced, and the room hadn't been cleaned properly. I found toilet paper that hadn't been flushed after checking in. My wife and I checked in together, but only one of us got the Platinum welcome drink. When I asked for sparkling water, an employee showed me what was in the refrigerator even though I could already see it. It felt like a hard time over a welcome drink that seemed to be water only. I had expected a complimentary upgrade with my Platinum card too.
