The spacious rooms and excellent service made for a nice stay. It's right beside the shuttle bus stop for rides from the high-speed railway station, which is especially convenient if you're travelling by train.

Updated 7 March 2024. The hotel is a bit old, and there was no air conditioning in the cold season, so we had to open the window for ventilation. Breakfast was basic local village-style food with limited choices, so don't expect much. The hotel runs a direct shuttle to the Old City, but it takes a longer detour than walking. Fenghuang Ancient Town is at the edge of the hotel area, about an 8-minute walk by the main road or shortcut. March weather can shift from 6-7°C in the morning to 16-17°C in the afternoon, so layers and a warm jacket are a good idea.

The rooms have AI smart features that made the stay more fun. Just say "Xiao Du, Xiao Du" and it can open or close the curtains, switch the TV on or off, and even sing. The Best Xiangxi Hotel is next to Fenghuang Ancient Town, less than a 10-minute walk away.

It's handy having a play area for the kids, and the first-floor restaurant makes meals convenient. The hotel is really close to Fenghuang Ancient Town. Too bad they don't serve coffee at breakfast.

The location is the only thing this hotel has going for it. It's old, run-down, and generally dirty, and the service at both reception and the restaurant is very poor. I wouldn't recommend it.
