For the price, this is a good hotel, but it took us a while to get used to finding it as first-time visitors. You can also go through the Marriott hotel to reach this Courtyard Marriott. If you don’t have a local phone for the DiDi app, the hotel can help call a taxi. There are plenty of taxi drivers outside the financial high tech zone subway station, which is helpful, though the station is a bit far from the hotel. I wouldn’t walk there, and prefer taking a bus to the station. The subway ride to Guangzhou and Tien he takes about an hour and requires three line transfers. When we crossed the bridge from the hotel, we were in Qideng Lake, but as newcomers we didn’t know that. Some bus drivers were rude when giving directions to people new to the area. More taxi drivers near the hotel would make things easier, since DiDi can take a while to use.

You get a massive room and bathroom, plus a balcony, for half the price of the Marriott right next door. Excellent hotel.

The Courtyard is a great price, though Foshan is a little way from central Guangzhou. Just a note: the Financial High-tech Zone metro is operating. The information on Google Maps saying otherwise is incorrect.
