Courtyard Foshan Gaoming

The staff made this a really pleasant stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Foshan Gaoming. The reception ladies, Philip, Max, and the rest of the young team were welcoming, friendly, and super helpful. Our room was big and very clean. I may have been a bit lucky with a higher floor and a decent view of the plaza. The gym is nicely set up, and there’s a decent-sized indoor lap pool. Breakfast has a good mix of local and international food. YiCui, the lobby restaurant, serves proper dim sum, and the small mall next door has lots of food options, including a McD’s if you can’t handle the delicious local cuisine. You can also pick up essentials there if, like me, you forgot something at home. The location suited us because we needed to be near our meeting points. For walks or mainstream shopping, though, there aren’t many options unless you’re willing to walk 20 minutes. Xintiandi is a short drive away, and central Guangzhou isn’t that far either. If you’re visiting Foshan or nearby areas, I’d definitely consider staying here.
