Hampton By Hilton Shunde Longjiang

The room was a decent size and clean, though the towels looked worn, there was no bidet, and the air conditioning vibrated on some nights. Hallways sometimes smelled strongly of cigarettes. I stayed four nights in early April, and the hotel's map location is wrong. From my window, which looked over the garden and gym, I could see it should be at the junction of Dengdong Highway and Donghua road. Breakfast was basic and repetitive. There was hardly any real meat, mostly processed options like sausage, luncheon meat, or ham bacon, and those weren't all available each day. The rest was 99% carbs and vegetables. The hotel is near some malls, though its location isn't as good as Courtyard by Marriott. The worst issue was the laundry setup: just one dryer for the whole hotel. It rained throughout my stay, so without sun our clothes took ages to dry, and everyone was waiting to use it. The laundry room has two washers, one top load and one front load, plus a single iron and ironing board. Don't call to ask for an iron to be sent up, it's shared. The receptionist was snarky and unhelpful when I asked for help arranging an SF pickup, then rudely complained about us in Cantonese on the phone. Since we didn't have a local number, I expected basic help calling for the pickup from a business hotel. I won't return or recommend this place. It's a disgrace to have Hilton's name associated with it.
