For shopping, this is an excellent place to stay. The hotel itself is beautiful and I had an enjoyable stay. Phoenix, the front desk manager, was very friendly and extremely helpful. Dinner at the restaurants was excellent, and breakfast was very impressive.

If you’re going to the Louvre Furniture Mall, the Sofitel Hotel is ideally located. The rooms and bathrooms are exceptionally spacious, and breakfast has an impressive spread with plenty of vegetarian choices.

After staying in hundreds of hotels around the world, I can say this place is genuinely excellent. The service is very high level, and the staff are warm, attentive, and truly professional. I stayed here for almost five months. Nearly every day, I felt cared for and treated with respect and real human warmth. There were plenty of everyday situations during such a long stay, and the hotel always dealt with them calmly, professionally, and in a friendly way. What stands out to me is how the relationship feels centered on the guest. Money seems secondary. It doesn’t feel like dealing with a business so much as dealing with people who value you as a person, not just your wallet. That’s rare, and it makes the place special.

The French-style architecture and interior design are very impressive, sleek, and minimalist. There are lots of beautifully arranged nooks where you can read quietly, catch up with friends, or take spontaneous photos. But I didn’t find it very family friendly. The Wi-Fi was unreliable, and cleanliness wasn’t up to the mark. The bathroom doors don’t lock, and there’s a gap in the sliding door, plus clear glass by the bath, so the setup isn’t suitable for people who aren’t a couple. There’s also a low-hanging lamp that we kept bumping our heads on. At breakfast there wasn’t any halal section, despite many travelers having that dietary requirement. There was no coffee maker, and they were pretty miserly with the coffee and extras. At checkout, staff kept us waiting an hour to get our deposit back, then made an issue of the water bottles in the room being chargeable after we’d drunk them.
