The room felt pretty standard, and I expected a bathtub with the Superior Super king bed. A couple of things also seemed out of place: the Chinese painting above the toilet and the woven laundry basket. I did love the toothbrush and robe, though. The building itself made a big impression. The huge chandeliers and glossy marble floor at the entrance are hard to miss, and I liked the bold Chinese paintings and the ornaments and vases by the lifts. The open car park and grand front facade were impressive too. I was unexpectedly excited by it all. What I missed was a bit of warmth from the entrance staff. A smile and a simple welcome in Putonghua or English, or a “Good evening” or “welcome back” after I returned from shopping, would have made me feel special.

The biggest drawback was the smoke smell in the hallways and in many rooms. It also didn't feel as nice as the Shanghai Millenium where we stayed. We were here for our own wedding, and the event was well done with authentic food. The rooms were clean and modern, and breakfast was included, with very good Chinese and American options. It's a very nice hotel by Fuqing standards, and if you need to stay in Fuqing, this is the one I'd choose.

The rooms are spacious and well maintained, and the hotel is right by a mall in a central spot. Very good stay, and I'd come back to Fuqing.

It's a huge, grand-looking hotel with Chinese styling, and the price is reasonable for what you get. Being in the city centre makes getting around easy, though the airport is the exception.
