We were glad to find a room this comfortable and well equipped for half what similar hotels cost in Shenyang, and a quarter of the Beijing prices. Our corner room looked out over the river, a better view than the other options. The hotel’s location is great too, with Wanda mall nearby. There’s a grocery store downstairs and plenty to do there, including play areas for kids. The room delivery robot was a nice touch. The staff were helpful and flexible. Most knew some English, and the manager spoke it well and was very professional. When our streaming box stopped working and we were left with live TV, he promptly sent someone to replace it. We also liked the pool and gym. The pool water wasn’t made too warm, unlike at other hotels we’d stayed at in China. Breakfast leaned toward Eastern dishes, though there were some Western foods our young kids were more used to. I’ve added a short lobby clip and a pool photo.

The rooms were spacious, quiet and comfortable, though my sister got bitten by a lot of bed bugs. Wanda Plaza shopping mall is close by, and there’s a big, nice bar. We couldn’t get on the Wi-Fi. We asked reception again and again for help, but they didn’t do anything. Most of the reception staff couldn’t speak English and relied on a translation app, which led to lots of mistakes. Hotel guests couldn’t use the pool or gym, even though other people could. When I asked why, they said the pool was in trial operation, and I felt like they were lying. Breakfast had fewer choices than I’d expect at a five-star hotel. I did like the sushi, noodles and fresh fruit.

The room was really spacious, and the gym and breakfast were decent. For the price in Fushun, this hotel’s great. I’d stay here again when I’m in the area.

The window was broken and wouldn’t shut, and the gym and pool weren’t restricted to hotel guests. Lots of local people were in the pool, spitting and talking or yelling really loudly. At breakfast, I saw the woman cooking eggs keep a finger up her nose for about 20 seconds. I skipped the omelet. This felt like a half-baked Chinese rip-off of a decent hotel.
