The location works well, with McDonald’s, coffee shops, and a Subway train station all less than 200 meters away. I had a lovely stay at the Hampton. The rooms were clean and quiet, and breakfast had a nice spread, mostly suited to Chinese tastes, though you can always ask for eggs made the way you like. Wang Yan Feng, the 8th floor supervisor, deserves a special mention. She was very courteous and went out of her way to help. She was also one of the few people there who spoke English. I’d definitely stay here again on my next visit to Fuzhou.

The breakfast had a good range of choices, and complimentary bottled water was a nice extra. The hotel was clean and very nice, with a price that felt reasonable for the quality. I had a comfortable, pleasant stay and would gladly recommend it.

We'd tried several times to book a visit to the Fujian Museum before reaching Fuzhou, but couldn't get a reservation. Once we checked into the hotel, Xiao He at the front desk kindly arranged one for us. That let us visit the museum without trouble the following day. We're very grateful!

Breakfast came with freshly cooked noodles and soup, and the room itself was a little old. The service was excellent across the board, from the front desk and restaurant to housekeeping.

The room was small, but neat and clean, and the location was convenient. The service stood out most. I thought I'd left an item of clothing behind and called the staff, who were very patient while helping me. I found it at home later.
