The Westin Pazhou

The workshop room on the third floor worked well for our full day of sessions, with comfortable seats, good sound and smooth technical support. The break catering was good too and kept everyone going. I wasn’t staying overnight at The Westin Pazhou, but I attended events there on a recent trip. Our company cocktail party was in the grand ballroom on the 3rd floor. It was spacious, elegant and ready for the occasion, and the staff handled the food presentation and lighting professionally and attentively. The Westin and nearby Courtyard by Marriott are both in the Marriott Bonvoy group, which adds to the feeling of consistent quality in the area. From what I saw, The Westin Pazhou is a strong option for meetings and events. If its guest rooms are as good as the event spaces and service, I’d consider staying there in the future.

The rooms are huge, comfortable and luxurious, and the price is good for the value. It’s well placed for the fair area, though the staff don’t speak English.

Breakfast had lots of choice, with good fruit and coffee, and the pool and sauna were very clean. The hotel is right by the Canton fair, just 4 minutes away or less.

I spent two nights here for business at the convention center, then added one more to see Guanzhou. The hotel was impeccable, with great fitness amenities and friendly, efficient service. There was plenty of good food, both Chinese and Western. It’s walking distance from the Guanzhou metro, and I’d choose it again if I get the chance.
