The room itself was awful, with old, run-down furnishings and a dorm-like feel. The cigarette smell was strong before we even reached the hotel, and unbearable inside. I wouldn't choose it even for one night. We booked through a well-known aggregator and had notified the hotel ahead of time that we'd arrive late, as required by the terms for check-in after 6:00 PM. Still, they refused to give us the room at the rate we had booked. They offered the same room for half the price instead. We've stayed with this hotel chain in several Southeast Asian countries, China included. This was the worst possible option.

It’s about a five-minute walk from Beijing Lu Metro Station. To find it, walk straight from the station, past the Club with the painter statue and then the Cinderella photo shop. Look for an alley with the number 7 sign. The room was small but fairly priced. It smelled of cigarette smoke, and the furniture was old and a little dirty. Staff spoke very little English.
