Getting around was easy, with the metro and major shopping areas nearby, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The apartments felt clean, modern, and spacious, with stylish decor and the facilities needed for a comfortable stay. There’s a fully equipped kitchen and a washer/dryer combo, which worked well for a short or longer visit. Guests also praised the cleanliness and comfort. It felt like a home away from home.

Breakfast was dreadful, honestly closer to a one-star standard. The front desk was rude and tried to charge more than the agreed price, giving different excuses. The location was good, though the hotel was extremely hard to find. I had a truly awful stay. The receptionist came across as shockingly arrogant, and the prices seemed easy for them to change. I don’t recommend the hotel. Read reviews carefully before booking, and don’t make my mistake. After this experience, I would never use Booking for travel in China again.

Tianhe is a nice area to explore, with ICC Mall connected to Ascott and plenty of eateries within walking distance at Citic Plaza’s Sky Galleria. The service was good, and the hotel would have earned five stars from me if it hadn’t been for the smoke. We booked two rooms, and both smelled smoky at check-in, so we were moved. But despite the no-smoking policy, some guests still smoked in their rooms, and smoke came into ours in the middle of the night. When we raised it, the receptionist said they couldn’t control guests smoking in their rooms. That was disappointing, especially with elderly people and young children in our group.

The staff were super nice, even though their English wasn’t very good, so we managed. The rooms were spacious and really nice, with lots of amenities, a big bed, and a nice bathroom. There’s also a kitchen, plus a washer and dryer if you need them.
